What do you mean? Another language than English that you can speak to get by in several countries? Something else?

I would have to go with the UN languages (Spanish, French, Chinese, Russian, and Arabic), though I'm afraid I don't really understand your question.

No language today is as widespread as English.
Arguably, French or Spanish could be at number 2, but they'd be distant number twos compared to English when it comes to "ubiquitousness".

French, of course. It's the only other language spoken on all continents.

Portuguese must be considered an international language being an official language of the African Union, EU,
and Mercosul as well as having it's own Community of Portuguese Language Countries and 230 million speakers
in 8 countries (and Macau), on no less than 5 continents...and it's use is expanding rapidly.
