I would say go for Japanese. You can always learn Italian later on in your life, but it will take 5 or 10 years to get
really good at Japanese, compared with 1 or 2 years for Italian. Plus, being able to speak to your grandfather in
Japanese is really important. Of course, you could take 1 day off every week to do stuff with Italian but you have to
stay focused, especially with a difficult language.
