How do you use the audiobook? Do you listen to it while reading, or before? |

Well, I use different approaches:
I listen to the audiobook while reading, if I want to learn new words and structures (more or less the Assimil way). Besides, given the non phonetic nature of English, this approach spares me the effort of checking out in a dictionary how to pronounce new words.
On the other hand, I also like to listen to the audiobook before reading the text, when I want to test and improve my oral comprehension skills. Obviuously, I check the book afterwards.
Both methods are fine, you should alternate them. The most important thing is to find an unabridged audiobook (it is very frustrating, if not impossible, to read a book while listening to an abridged recording).
