Help me to learn to like French again | ||

This could be me talking about bad experiences with french speaking people. Well, I also met nice ones, but there is a general tendency of negative experiences to overshadow the good ones. And there are so many other languages one can learn, so why bother with French. That way I at least avoided to overcoming my "French-phobia" for the last years. But actually I am planning to warm up my French (at least some day, when I need it at some point) And then there are lots of things, where it is really worth knowing French. Movies have already been mentioned. Just try to look for something you really like, and look for it in French. For me it is certainly music. I actually love listening to the French language, when it is being sung. And then I have that obsession for musicals in foreign languages, which actually helps me to find something I like in most languages. And there are some really nice "comédies musicales" in French, in case one likes that (there are unfortunately also lots of bad ones.)
So I for some reason had to learn to actually use French, without getting nightmares about it, then I would actully try to find something in that language that I can really like, which is actually not that hard for French. If you like music, movies or literature, you already have a big advantage. 1 person has voted this message useful |
