If you get a Certificate of Proficiency on a language, are you qualified to teach in that language even if you don't

It would probably depend on where you want to teach and what your other credentials are. Many schools and colleges and universities require their instructors to have degrees.

If you are talking about TOPIK, I don't think it will give you any license to teach, although they might hire you if you get the top level, and they don't have enough people.
Still, teaching Korean is a very limited market, and they have lots of individuals who ARE qualified to teach Korean as foreign languges. I'm really not sure about this field, so you might want to check with some other people. 1 person has voted this message useful |
