Just because you quench thirst, doesn't mean you are quenched. That to me means that I was on fire, but amn't anymore. For me, I'd use sated, but I wouldn't say it. I would say that one has to keep hydrated in hot weather though. For me too, hungry - full.
I would only ever use slake in the chemical sense of hydrate, thus slaked lime is perfectly normal to me, slaked thirst ridiculous.
Sasta in Irish seems to fit the bill, it's basically satisfied.
