Christoph Waltz was the actor that role Hans Landa in this movie. I'm Spanish speaker and I'm amazed that his performance speaking fluently four languages:  English, French, German and Italian, but I don't know how perfect his accents are.

Christoph has become awarded several times for this role, I merely ask, his accents are as good as the movie wants to make me think?

I've read that the actor, while accomplished in English, French and German, is not fluent in Italian but rather is wickedly proficient in "mock" Italian - putting on a very convincing Italian pronunciation and manner of speaking, without actually being able to communicate in it.

He sure was awesome in that movie!

About Hans Landa/Christoph Waltz in Inglorious Basterds...

The Nazi colonel Hans Landa played by Christoph Waltz was an interesting and fascinating
character indeed.I think he was the only saving grace in an otherwise mediocre film.

The SS colonel is bilingual in English and German and speaks good French too and some
Italian as well, although in real life Herr Waltz cannot speak Italian.

Inglorious Basterds was a pretty indifferent film, but Herr Waltz aka Hans Landa was the
only actor/character that made the film interesting.
