I just stumbled upon this site, which lists the top 50 songs most listened to on Youtube and Tudou. (You'll have to click the language link to see the complete list.)
So far I've only checked out the German list, which I don't like at all, the Spanish list, whose top ten list definitely contains some songs that are also on my personal top ten list and the Arabic list, which surprised me with some very interesting artists and songs. BTW, even though the songs are not underlined they're links to a page with the corresponding Youtube video. 2 persons have voted this message useful | |

This could have been a nice resource, sadly there is no way to filter out or search for certain genres of music. The French list is dominated by rap and some famous oldies.

Well I checked the french list (top 100), and Edith Piaf is still going strong at number 26! Still competitive.
