Hi there,

I'm currently studying Swedish and I was wondering if anyone knows if you can get any Swedish channels through Sky or if there are any websites with continuous streaming available to the UK?

I watch some stuff on SVT website (some programmes are restricted to being seen in Sweden only) but would love something that continues to play like a tv channel...

Any channels in other languages for future use would also be great to know :o)

Many thanks

Sounds like you'd like livestation.

You can watch TV channels from all over the world with it. Unfortunately it seems only Kanal 10 works for Swedish though. Typing in Sweden in the search field brings up various channels but only Kanal 10 seems to work but it's a start.

Otherwise you could use a proxy server so you won't get restrictions on content on the SVT player. FoxyProxy is very good and easy to set up but it'll cost you about £12 a month for a Swedish server but it gets cheaper if you go for 3 months at a time or 6 months etc. I used them to watch the iPlayer when I was in Norway. Worked like a charm, slowdown is negligible.
