Lykeio also touched on another sore spot for me: Greek composition. I've been dragging my feet about going through the active wave of the Assimil course (I write everything out, so it takes a lot longer), and I've got North and Hillard's Greek Prose Composition nicely printed out, waiting for me to start... I just.. can't ... seem ... to get started.. Perhaps if someone were to tell me how wonderfully helpful composition is, that would help motivate me. ;) |

I have the same problem with Latin. Composition is great but I have yet to find a manual I can finish without being bored after two lessons (usually spent on writing about the lofty virtues of the consuls and the fortitude of the Roman soldier).
Sticking to AG, there's a great ressource you may not know about, recordings of the Greek Ollendorff by Bedwere (https://archive.org/details/GreekOllendorff96). The Ollendorff method is based on manipulating short sentences. So listening to the exercises repeatedly is a great way of reinforcing structures and vocabulary.
