I wrote this post with an eye to posting it in the general topic about music, because I didn't know there was also one specifically for Polish songs. Some of the artists mentioned below have already been listed, but since I'm also giving you links to specfic songs I hope you will like it.

Perfect- Niepokonani ("Invincible")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hNqpkigpLgk     This song has been released over 10 years ago but it's achieved a cult status and it's still widely recognisable today
Closterkeller-Władza ("Power")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x-IK2DZzO0U There are quite a lot of goth rock bands in Poland, but it seems that the majority of them drew inspiration from Closterkeller. This is their biggest hit released in '96
Lady Pank- Zawsze tam gdzie Ty ("To Be Always Where You Are")
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyoCXePXQF0 Another group that has risen to a cult status in Poland and another instantly recognisable song.

Unfortunately, I don't know many contemporary songs sung in Polish so it's difficult for me to recommend you a wide selection of Polish-language music. Too many bands in my country have decided to discard their native language and switch to English as a means of expression...

Herjalf-Wilczy Król ("The king of Wolves") http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXRkl2Y-rJY
Little known band but really something to be recommended, especially to fans of Nightwish and the such. Many of their songs are in English but there are some exeptions.

T.Love- Ajrisz ("Irish" written according to the rules of the Polish phonetics :D )
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ufFXUd_72Tw
Well-known band and a song for the people who like folksy stuff

Kazik- 12 groszy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWg0XoZnmWw
Kazik is well-known Polish rapper. The song, While rather easy to understand on the literal level, includes tens of rather cryptic references to Polish public life, politics, etc.

Elektryczne Gitary- Killer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGchN068dQQ&feature=related
This song is a part of the soundtrack for a hugely successful Polsh comedy titled "Kiler"

Unfortunately, way too many bands decided to

Come on, guys!!! What's the point of recommending bands that sing in English? Get outta here!
---------------------

You have to check Varius Manx, argubly the best and the most successful Polish pop/rock band. Their female singers have always sung very clearly:

Oh, and Mezo is a hip-hop artist with very nice and well pronounced lyrics and often nice singers:

A band called Coma have a nice melodic Rock Style. The words seem reasonably clear to me.
They're also quite catchy.

It doesn't look like anyone's mentioned this, so I will.

There is a set of CDs called RMF FM Najlepsza Muzyka po Polsku that's a pretty good sampler of popular Polish music.

There's more info and can be purchased here: http://merlin.pl/RMF-FM-Najlepsza-muzyka-po-polsku_Universal -Music-Group/browse/product/4,511268.html

I should probably note, that it's easily findable through torrent sites, though.

Kaja Paschalska "Przyjaciel od Zaraz" :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hgkvai50r7g&feature=related

Cheesy karaoke style pop, but at least you can make out
the words as she pronounces them well. Annoyingly catchy.
By the way, the lyrics (with background beat) can be read here:

Go on kids, sing along!
You know you want to!!

I made English subtitles for a few of my favourite Polish songs of different styles. The translations are quite literal, so they should be useful for language learning, but it may be hard to get the meaning in some cases. Sometimes it's because of problems with translation, and sometimes it's because the lyrics are weird. Polish lyrics are in any case easily googlable.

Niejasności (Uncertainities) by Gaba Kulka

Marznę bez Ciebie (I'm freezing without you) by Maria Awaria (Maria Peszek)

Ballada o Janku Wiśniewskim by Kazik - a new rock interpretation of a classic anti-communist song from the '80s - here is a bit of historical context

Czarne Słońca (Black Suns) - song by Kult, a band led by Kazik Staszewski, the one who also sings the previous one

List do Che (A letter to Che) by Strachy na Lachy

There are many other interesting songs by the above artists, these are just examples. I can subtitle more such songs if anyone's interested, I can also help with interpretation of the lyrics. Just send me a PM if you need help.
