I'm using the French Pimsleur program and was wondering what textbook would be a good accompaniment for getting into the written language. Thanks!

I maybe wouldn't bother with a fully-blown textbook, as you're effectively trying to learn how to write, not learn the language.
After doing an audio course in Spanish, I went on to do a set of grammar drills in the Practise Makes Perfect series. It helped me revise and consolidate my grammar while learning new vocabulary and tying sounds and written forms together. I didn't have to waste my time rereading protracted explanations of stuff I didn't know and often went straight to the drills, but there were fairly useful and concise explanations available for when I got stuck.
