Do Rosetta Stone courses for Chinese and Japanese teach you hanzi/kanji or just pinyin/hiragana-katakana?

For Japanese, there's an option for just kanji or kanji with furigana. I can't imagine using it to learn reading or writing, though; it doesn't go out of its way to teach you that. I used it for extra kanji reading practice.
