Does anyone know if the Assimil Le nouveau russe sans peine uses lessons that are similar or the same as Assimil English sans peine? There is no English version of Russian but I have access to French version of Russian and French version of English...If they are compatible I could do Russian without learning French. Thanks for the help in advance.

The very short answer is "NO", they are totally different, geared to their respective target cultures. Russian is about Russians and Russia, French is about the French way of life, well, kind of.
