In the vein of the "word 'audiobook' in different languages" thread, I'm starting this thread to compile a list of words that help to identify dubbed foreign language videos.
So far I know only -vostfr for French dubbed videos of anything from American TV series to Japanese anime -吹き替え which is plainly "dubbed/dubbing" in Japanese, used as a term for any foreign language video (drama/film) dubbed into Japanese. Does anyone have other terms to suggest? Or does a specific term not exist in your language? 1 person has voted this message useful | ||||||

Mh...try with Fansub or Sub Eng, this works for the vast majority of anime

Chinese: 配音(Pei4 Yin1) means "dubbed".

I mean primarily foreign videos dubbed into your target language. Most anime out there comes with Japanese audio or at least in .mkv or .ogg format which allows you to change the audio tracks and toggle subtitles, but I'm talking about something like this for example. EDIT I've changed the link above upon discovering that that show was in classical fansub format - Japanese audio, French subs. I guess vostfr isn't a catch-all term for French dubbed shows? The term Français directly seems to correspond more at least on YouTube. EDIT 2 I've found out that I'm completely wrong.
