I have a Nintendo DS, and after some research (also within this forum :) ) I've found that there are a lot of titles to help learning a language (and I think that with nintendo Wii and Sony PSP are also some titles available). Of course they are not capable by themselves to reach higher levels, but I still think they may have some value and at least they may be more entertaining than flashcards :)
There are a lot of them for English, but i only mention these because I think they are adequate for advanced learners My Word Coach Spellbound (It has also other languages as German, Spanish, french...) Wordmaster Word Jong Margot's Word Brain French My French Coach My French Tutor - level 2 For french children (i think that they may have the same usefulness as childs books for learners) Astérix - Drôles d'exercices ! Lapin Malin J'apprends à Lire et écrire Tout savoir CP - l'essentiel du programme Tout savoir CE1 - l'essentiel du programme Tout savoir CE2 - l'essentiel du programme Tout savoir CM2 - l'essentiel du programme Spanish My Spanish Coach My Spanish Coach Level 2 Mi Experto en vocabulario (Same thing as level 2 but for Spanish speakers) German German dictionary: Langenscheidt Basic-Wörterbuch Englisch Mein Wortschatz-Coach - Verbessere dein Ausdrucksvermögen Mi Experto En Aleman (Available for Spanish speakers but not for English ???) Japanese My Japanese Coach Learn Japanese with homebrew DS app A lot of titles to learn Japanese Chinese My Chinese Coach Articles Turn Your Nintendo DS into a Translation Dictionary - technical details Multi-Language Translator here Another Series of language learning called Mind Your Language will arrive at 13 February 2009 (for Spanish, French, German and Japanese) Those are the titles that I've found with a little search.
