I am planning to begin learning Indonesian sometime in the next week. I have no previous knowledge. Indonesia is the 4th most populous country on earth and Barry Farber has rated the language as the easiest in the world to learn. I think it would be more fun and helpful if some other people started Indonesian along with me. Does this interest anyone?

It is also one of the most difficult languages to "master". As well as the fact that it's not alot of peoples first language.

I think it's quite easy to learn. Unlike the English or Spanish verbs, the verbs in Indonesian don't depend on the subject or the time. They remain the same.

So the verbs are like in Mandarin (no conjugation)?
