Hello, all:
I have a Mexican friend who speaks virtually no English. She has very little money, and no computer. Thus she cannot use any of the many good English learning websites.
I, however, could print out a web-page and give it to her. But without audio, I doubt she could get any pronunciation right.
So, I am looking for any of the following for her:
-A webpage with a pronunciation guide, or an online English manual that teaches pronunciation as it progresses (so when a word is introduced, the pronunciation is explained with it, unless it has been previously explained).
-A relatively inexpensive book that teaches English (with pronunciation).
-Inexpensive audio tapes or cds for learning English. I believe there are many poor quality and poorly designed, not very-far reaching audio programs available. Please suggest programs that you believe are good and will really be helpful.
This is for a Spanish speaking person who speaks almost no English.
Thank you!
Zack
