I have looked at and tried several Spanish programs such as Pimsleur, Michael Thomas, Rosetta Stone, Power Glide, etc etc. and I think that Bilingual America beats them all. I am only on the Basic Level, but the course and the explanations have been excellent.
I have not purchased the tutoring option, only the self-study option, as my wife is from Colombia and I can practice speaking with her and ask questions if I have any. I don't often have them as the course is very good. Bilingual America also has a forum that you can ask questions there as well.
As I mentioned above, I am only on the Basic Level, but my wife says I speak very well. Other Latinos have told me that I speak very good Spanish also. I credit the Bilingual America course for this. I highly recommend their course!

Thank you. In the time I asked this question, I also ordered the self study course and I think it is extremely good. It's gives you a structure and a real feeling of advancing and accomplishment even in the very short period of time I've worked with the first level. So, I share your sentiment about the course. It seems really good. Let's us both share our true results once we've both finished the expert level and see how we've both progressed.

I am interested in the program although it does seem a bit expensive. If I purchase it, I would also select the tutoring options. I need help with conversation. I am at an intermediate level and, I have been at this level for longer than I would like. Why is this program better than say some of the other "established" programs?

One reason is that the course doesn't use grammar jargon such as pluperfect, imperfect, present perfect, etc. I don't even know what those are in English. It teaches you what I call everyday grammar jargon, such as I am (walk)ing, I (walk)ed, I am going to walk, etc.
With Pimsleur etc. they would give a phrase, such as I want to go to the hotel, you want to go to the hotel, etc. with no explanation of the verb conjugation. For example the word want in the forgoing sentence. The Spanish Power program explains all of that in a way that is easy to understand without all the grammar jargon.
There is also a forum where you can ask questions and other students as well as Ricardo or Cecilia will answer. This is available whether you take the tutoring or not.
Since you are more than a beginner, Ricardo will test you to see what level you should start at. Sometimes he recommends starting at the beginning because of bad habits, sometimes people are more advanced than they think and can start at a higher level than they thought.
I encourage you to try the program and see what you think.
