I have been studying Japanese at uni for one year now, and I have been looking for people who want to practice with me, as I think that you learn a language way faster when you are able to speak with a native speaker on a regular basis. I've learned a lot when it comes to English via native speakers.
So, my question: are there any Japanese native speakers on here who would like to help me practice Japanese? I'd be very grateful if you would! ^^

It seems that there are about 20 Japanese native speakers in this forums. Some of them may not be active users, though.

Eternal silence have you tried a language exchange website? (I thought you might find the forum's thread on the subject useful.)
This forum is mainly for discussion about language and not much of a source for finding tandem partners, etc. --- just my experience.
You might want to clarify what you're interested in -- email, text chat, voice chat? -- and if you can, write a small introduction in Japanese, not forgetting to mention what language you are willing to help them with.

Why look for Japanese speakers on an English-language forum? What has happened to 2ch?

Try Livemocha.com perhaps?
I think there are a hundred Japanese learners for every native speaker on this forum!
Plus, sadly, the pleasure of helping people soon wears off in any language.

Haha! Gaijin are all destined to deathwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
[insert your favourite SJIS mascot here]
[insert random rant about the Korean who rape, the Chinese who eat babies, the American with a conspiracy against out beloved nation, or anyone else]
Edit: Ah, you're from the Netherlands! It should be OK. When you have learnt Japanese, try the book Rangaku Kotohajime(the beginning of the Dutch studies), where a bunch of mediaeval Japanese Confucians pondered over the word "verheffend".

True. Penpals lose interest or they just get busy.
Also try SharedTalk.com. I got into the chat room after registering and I immediately got a pop-up from somebody (Japanese) interested in a chat! No skype, no partner searches, no dialing -- click and you're in a conversation. You have to watch the hours though. There's a seven hour time difference in my case. The later it gets the fewer native speakers there are to chat with.
