Fluency in a foreign language for $1000 ??? I don't think that's very realistic.
I'm using Pimsleur for Hebrew and I'm pleased with the value for money - just over $5 per 30-minute lesson, and it's getting me to talk with a fair degree of confidence on the subjects covered so it's a helpful aid in addition to my more conventional teaching manual - which has far fewer useful phrases in it that I could use immediately - although it has things like 'computer' 'cell phone' 'cordless phone' and 'hands-free phone' as well as 'there are hotties on the beach'!! LOL
