I've just purchased, but not yet been sent the download link, for a couple of Japanese vocabulary AUDIO lists for iPod from www.playsay.com. It will drill me by saying the English word in my left ear and the Japanese in the right ear, and vice versa--you can shuffle the words, etc.
While I know that learning actual PHRASES is supposedly better, I still like the concept of also having vocabulary LISTS to drill with, and wondered if anyone knows of other iPod-compatible lists like this WITH AUDIO for other languages (especially Russian).
Thanks in advance.

You can get Vocabulearn Russian (and other languages) for about $40 for all three levels (I think each level
contains like 1500 words or so. It's an "audio flashcard" program. The say the word in Russian (or whatever),
pause, then say the word in English. After the list is complete they repeat it but reverse the order of the words
(English first then russian). They're just audio CD's so they can be ripped to your ipod. The program also includes
a list of all the words.

Ah, thanks--looks like just what I was looking for.
I've finally input the PlaySay Japanese vocabulary into iTunes and really like what it does--I just have it going in the background with the JLPT4 words that I've already pretty much learned by reading. I'm figuring having these already-learned words repeat via audio over and over while I'm doing something else can't do any harm on retention...
Wasn't familiar with the Vocabulearn programs. Thanks again!
