yes, that's what I meant with "Or is the fix to not pronunce that a?". So indeed, combining words when you speak. (In Pimsleur they do do that.) I should focus on that more now then. Thus far I have avoided it a little in order to learn the grammar correct. But maybe now I have enough knowledge and I can forget the writing a little when speaking. When writing I can try to remember the correct grammar :) I will listen more carefully now when they combine words. The sample you mentioned for instance.
