I have learned a new word: abiertas.
And I wonder if I'm correct:

In pimsleur they use this word with tiendas.
Is it correct that 1 store (tienda) would be abierta, without the s? And a male object would be abierto?

And also I read this sentence on the web:
Hasta qué hora están abiertas las tiendas?

Is it also correct to say:
Hasta qué hora están las tiendas abiertas?

So can I choose what comes first, the store or closed?
(The later one comes more natural for me.)

Gracias!

Correct.

Funnily enough, the first one "feels" more natural to me (even though it doesn't match English word order) but I think either would get your point across :¬).

Andy.

Okido, thanks :)

I have another question for you :-)

I heard: "sus ijos, estan pequeños?"

Shouldn't that be SON because height is a permanent quality? Or is it estan because they will grow?
So for children you use estan and for small people you use son?

I think you've answered your own question there :¬).

BTW it's "hijos" rather than "ijos".

I rather like that distinction :¬).

Andy.

Looks like your fluency is improving Andy since you're getting that feeling when things sound corrrect or not. :)

P.S. I agree with you about the sounding more "correct".
