Can anyone make this sentence sound a little less strange? "Que tiempo hace?"
I like trying to understand the logical meaning as much as possible before learning a sentence. Could you translate this for instance as "What does the weather do/make?" 1 person has voted this message useful | |

thats exactly how I translate it. What does the weather make. And in response? It makes cold (hace frío) etc...

It is the same in French "Quel temps fait-il?" means "What's the weather like today". How do you say it in Dutch Tuffy?

Thanks. That's a great way to remember it.
In Dutch you say "Wat voor weer is het vandaag?". Exactly that would be: "What kind of weather is it today?". And you can also say: "Wat voor weer hebben we vandaag?" Hebben (we have) instead of is (is). Edited by tuffy on 23 November 2005 at 4:37pm 1 person has voted this message useful |
