I know this is a too basic question but I have found a nice poem for someone and I have to make sure the grammar is in she-form :)
I have found a poem called: "Sólo tú" I want the poem to be for a woman. Should I make it Sóla tu? I do wonder because I can't find the word Sóla in my dictionary...? Is solo always solo perhaps? Thanks! Edited by tuffy on 31 October 2005 at 2:49am 1 person has voted this message useful | |

The word "solo" has two meanings.
The word "solo" or "sola" can mean a single item (hay un solo problema = there is just one problem) or it can mean alone or by yourself (estoy completamente sola = I'm completely alone). The word "sólo" means only or just (sólo quería verlo = I only wanted to see it). In your case, the poem is "Sólo tú" which means "Only you" and it's OK as it is.
