Just when I started testing out listening-reading through Harry Potter, the site appears to have gone down. Does anybody know of any other Chinese (Mandarin) recordings online? Preferably of long texts that are available in written Chinese as well as English...

I found that the Harry Potter recordings are also available streaming from http://www.radio.cn/yhtsy/yhtzxq/gszxq/azkb/# but I'd still like to find more audiobooks in Chinese.

Sprachprofi - search for Kealist's learning log, he has quite a few links over there.
Also, look up Xunlei, a Chinese p2p client.

yeah, and you can't download them through a web browser any longer, have to use xunlei, which has high spyware probability. My list on my log is here. It's a little disorganized, but the links should all still work. I believe the uz-translation site has harry potter audiobook.

Oh, that was bad news. I just read a little about that xunlei client. If Wikipedia is right it won't even let you decide what material you share or not, so the moment you start it up anyone can download anything that you have on your machine !? And the spyware and malware potential on top of that! Sounds like the perfect candidate to install on a virtual machine :o).

I'm sorry to bump this old thread, but has anybody seen another site than Pingshu? I once managed to download one single audiobook (with very low bit rate) and honestly haven't listened to it that much.
I prefer content that is available in text format as well, and possibly a translation (Swedish/English/(German)).
