When I was younger, I was raised partially by my grandparents who were native Yiddish speakers. They spoke it to
me but I never really got around to becoming native myself. Would it be possibly easier for me to learn Yiddish
because of that early exposure. I know being a native German speaker would help as well, but I definitely know
some differences between Yiddish and German. My parents have told me that because my grandparents were such
influential people in my life, that I would speak German as a child with a Yiddish cadence, and often use Yiddish
words and expressions. (that is no longer the case) So does anyone think this would benefit me in my study of
Yiddish if I ever chose to do so?

With the speaking and pronunciation but not with the writing.

I know Yiddish is written with the Hebrew abjad. I can read and write it. I know there are certain items specific to
Yiddish so that is just a matter of doing an internet search.
