Yes, that is exactly why I am trying with the throat R.

I agree that foreigners should stick with the main dialect in any language.

That said, I REALLY like Switzerland and Austria. If I ever live in Zurich (which is a possibility) then I will definitely use Swiss-German.

Actually - I am not worried about it anymore! :-) I am getting really positive feedback on my German pronounciation on LiveMocha.com! I am very pleased.

The definite article is causing me a lot more problems.
