Another suggestion for younger people in search of friends would be to find out where the local youth hang out, and go there.

How do you imagine finding friends like that?

Simple: you can't make friends with people your own age if no one your age is around you. If you can, more power to you - but I'd say if you're looking for people to have fun with, a good idea might be to find out where people go to have fun, and go there, hopefully finding people in the process.

It's always the same. Just go do stuff that you like to do and meet people
there. For example, if you like playing a particular sport, then go
somewhere to play it and meet other people playing that same sport. You
instantly have something in common to talk about.

There is a risk about getting bullied, though. I prefer AML's suggestion: Look for people who have the same interest as you.
