Hi, I'm thinking about purchasing a hebrew dictionary from one of those jewish online bookshop I googled, I'd like to ask if any of you guys have ever bought stuff from them and whether they are trustworthy or not because I'm living in NZ rather than US.
Cheers

שלום לכולם!!
Whilst I'm not looking to learn Hebrew as I already speak it, I was so surprised and delighted to see that people
on this forum are so keen to learn it that I wanted to try to help...
Anyway these sites might help you.
The first one is an online dictionary and it's the best one out there that's for free. It even works if you type in a
conjugated verb or word + preposition.

This next one is a resource that shows lots of verbs and their conjugations:

OK, something else you can do although it costs money is to subscribe to the Israeli produced newspaper in
simple Hebrew that's designed for learners. It's called Sha'ar L'Mathil and you can order it from abroad although
it's not for free...
http://www.slamathil.co.il/
This is an obvious one...and not available to everyone of course...but if you can find a local native speaker and
have lessons it helps a lot, there might also be lessons at a synagogue for example, for a nominal fee. Depends
on where you live.
Anyway, בהצלחה (which means "good luck")

Thanks, yael. I have seen all of those sites before. I don't lack materials anymore.
The lack is always native speakers and knowing more than I do now. :D
Shalom,
Yehoshua.

Thank you very much for your recommendations!
Would you happen to know what are some good online Israeli bookstores, something like their equivalent of Amazon or BarnesandNoble?
Bye.

Hmmm, we don't really have anything at all like Amazon or Barnes & Noble (sadly). Try to Google for Steimatzky
and here's Tzomet Sfarim's online store (but it's in Hebrew - I suppose they ship abroad though)
