Anyone know any good bookstores in Prague or Dresden?
I'm especially interested in picking up Assimil Swedish with a German base.

Thanks.

You can get it from amazon.fr or assimil.com; I generally order Assimil courses from the former.

Yeah, I know, but I'm currently in the Ukraine and not so sure about having stuff shipped here. Anyway, my wife's going to Dresden and Prague next week, and I thought it might be a little bit cheaper to pick up from a store as there's no shipping charges. Or she might find a nice used copy. The Assimil book is 17,58€ from amazon.fr, 24,80€ from amazon.de, and 21,90€ from the assimil site.

Also any recommendations for good Czech or German books are more than welcome :)

Check the "Haus des Buches" right in the middle of Dresden: www.haus-des-buches.de
Dr.-Külz-Ring 12
This is the biggest branch of a German bookstore-chain. For foreign-language-books I would also check this one: "Das Internationale Buch", about 2 minutes on foot away from the "Haus des Buches", smaller but more foreign books...

Enjoy your trip to Dresden!

Thanks maax, unfortunately my wife's already came back (she was the one going, not me). But if/when I make it to Dresden I'll be sure to check it out :)
