At the moment I'm doing the 10,000 sentence method for Chinese. I'm really enjoying using www.dict.cn as this site gives you loads of example sentences and even the translation in English.

Are there other places for Chinese where I can get the same? What about for other languages?

I find http://dic.yahoo.co.jp/ very useful for Japanese, it has several example sentences for most dictionary items.

Nice one delectric. Thanks! I've set a bookmark.

I have A Dictionary of Chinese Usage: 8000 words. It has examples for every entry but no English.

Keith I know the dictionary you mean - the big red one. I've got one just like it from Beijing Language University
which again has no English. When I learnt a new word I would take sample sentences from this dictionary and insert
them into supermemo but problem is that this is time consuming. Much quicker to cut and paste from the online
dictionary.
