I'm currently trying to learn Finnish, but I can't seem to find any good material on it. Does any one know some good resources for it? Also, is It really as hard as the language profile on it says? Thanks.

As a language teacher and a native speaker of Finnish, I can give you some insight:
Finnish is not really as hard as the language profile claims it to be... it is just different from all the Indo-European languages, including English and Spanish. :) I think the grammar (even though there are 15 cases) is very logical and the pronunciation should present no particular difficulties, if you can pronounce Spanish words very well. The most difficult part is probably learning vocabulary, since Finnish words don't bear any resemblance whatsoever to any English or Spanish words. But many foreigners have learnt to speak Finnish fluently; why couldn't you, then? :) As for learning resources: you might want to check out the following link - Finnish 1 person has voted this message useful | |
