I'm at the point where I can converse fairly well in Arabic as long as it is mostly about everyday simple topics, but I want to build on my fluency and vocabulary.
Mostly what I'm looking for is if anyone knows of any Arabic podcast (or something similar) where the speaker speaks at a reasonable pace. I'd especially like it if it came with a transcrpit that I could read along with. I've been trying to use the BBC Arabic service but they generally speak so fast that it's almost impossible for me to follow.
I feel like I've hit a little bit of a rut because I want to start to learn more advanced arabic, but all the arabic news broadcasts I can find are a little too advanced for me.

Not sure if you've tried http://www.arabicpod.net/ , but it's something to look into, at least.

I know A good book for learning the arabic alphabet called The Arabic Alphabet: How to Read and Write It by Nicolas Awde and Putros Samano. It can be found on amazon.com.

I can read Arabic, it's just that I need more practice. It still kind of takes a forced and concentrated effort for me to read the arabic script it doesn't yet flow naturally for me. However, yes, I am mostly looking for something to improve my speaking and understanding of arabic. My vocabulary is still kind of limited and I'm trying to learn more advanced arabic now.
The arabicpod.net looks pretty promising though, thank you.
Any further suggestions from other people would be appreciated as well.
