I have been trying to source a copy of Russian without Toil by assimil, the 2nd generation assimil books printed late 60s early 70s, as spoken of by Professor Alexander Arguelles.

You could go to Assimil's offical website. Then find the course you would like and copy the ISBN code or the GENCOD and then paste it into the search browser on Amazon.com. You could try this website: http://www.worldlanguage.com/ and look there.

I don't believe a 2nd generation Assimil Russian course was ever made available in English. You'd have to look for it in other language versions. I've seen listed 1st generation English copies many times though.

Thanks. Perhaps you are right. The book the Professor was reading was the German edition with Russian as the Target Language. I might ask the professor himself.
