I'm sure it is more effective than some other methods for that period of time.

I don't what this means.

Is there a user called furio?

*edit
Wait, are you referring to our Polish friend?

Do you mean furyou_gaijin? If so, I don't think he's ever used L-R, and I don't see the relevance.

Atamagaii wrote quite a bit on L-R, and called the collection "the gist". It's in Polish. I've read it.

I have also studied phonetics using material in Polish.

I'm sorry, I thought the illustrious one, praise be her name, said she was him. It was an old thread, so I'm sure I am wrong.

So Polish learners who have read "the gist" and studied phonetics using material in Polish will be well aware of how much progress you have made. Others will just wonder.

Atamagaii may well have said that as a joke, or 'admitted' it after someone alleged it, but it's not true.

I've described my progress at some length. If describing what I can and cannot do is not clear enough, well - there's not much I can do about that.

Actually, from what I remember someone was comparing furyou_gaijin to our death-bearing Polish friend and he denied it stating he was honoured by the comparison.

It was on a thread in the journal forum regarding Japanese.

Pearls before swine, truly.

I'm not directing this to anybody in particular.

All you need to know about the method, together with sample texts to save your time, is already on the forum.

You like the idea? - use it. You don't? - try it before you say that it's crap. And even if it doesn't work for you it's not a good reason to be sarcastic and rude to people who encouraged you to try. You lost 20 hours of your life LRing? 40? Tough luck. The original poster and now people who help others with the L-R method have spent many more hours on this forum repeating the same thing over and over. I bet they didn't do it all just to annoy you and waste your time, but rather to share it with the forum community.
