I decided to compile a dictionary based on formiko's Alphabet Game. There are approximately 10 * 26 = 260 words in the dictionary (pages 1-35 of the thread). Below is a language by language break-up.

Major languages in tha game: French (53), Romanian (33), German (25), Japanese (22), Spanish (17), Esperanto (14), Kazakh (13)

Less than a dozen of words: Latin (9), Polish (9), Italian (6), Dutch (5), Indonesian (5), Persian (5), Bulgarian (4), Chinese (Mandarin) (4), Portuguese (4), Turkish (4), Swahili (4), Thai (4), Finnish (3), Russian (3), Farsi (2), Icelandic (2), Swedish (2), Yoruba (2),

Only one word: Arabic (1), Azeri (1), Bemba (1), Burmese (1), Czech (1), Cherokee (1), Estonian (1), Greek (1), Hausa (1), Lao (1), Maori (1), Tagalog (1), Twi (1), Uzbek (1), Vietnamese (1), Yucatec Maya (1)

I was not able to transfer the words that use complex scripts (probably about ~50 words ) so these are presented only as phonetic transcriptions. Cyrillic, Latin (with all diacritics) and Greek scripts are intact.

If somebody is enthusiastic enough, the written form for languages such as Japanese can be recovered. Just give the proper translation for some of the words in the language that interests you. I can't bother to go through the Alphabet Game again but if I have them here it will be easy to update the dictionary.

- Thanks turaisiawase, for giving all the Kanji for the Japanese words;
- Mandarin, Persian, etc. are still missing;

Yea, I know ;p

I take partial responsibility for bloating French so much :)

By the way, I'm sorry some of the words are stripped of their original scripts. Because the post is so long I prepared it in Ms Word and upon pasting it in Firefox the encoding was screwed up completely. It will be really nice if people learning Japanese and Chinese can give the proper characters again. Then I can copy/paste directly in Firefox.

If not it will stay like this ^_^

Ok, thanks a lot. I've updated the dictionary and added a line to acknowledge your contributions ;).

Now we need a brave volunteer for the 4 Mandarin words, 5 Persian words and an astonishing 1 Arabic word (I'm assuming it's in MSA)

Well, you know that Romanian is me, most of it anyway...and a bit of the French.

Yea.. I can't understand why so many people want to learn Romanian. In my opinion it sounds horrible. No offence intended, it's just my personal sentiment. The way I see it, it is a difficult language with limited practical value and no aesthetic appeal.

For those of you under the spell of Vlad Dracula, you're better off learning Hungarian ;p. That's what they speak in Transylvania.

( I hope there are no Romanians on this forum, otherwise I'm in deep trouble ^_^ )
