At Trieste the average level of the sea varies around 5 cm from year to year...
As I have understood the rules at least one word in each post should be exactly the same as a word in the preceding post, - preferably (but not necessarily) in another language and if possible (but not necessarily) with different meaning. It should not be enough that two words in the translations coincident.

I hope that isn't the case, since it would seem to exclude languages like Chinese whose words are very different from western languages. In any case, my interpretation is that one word has to have the same meaning as one in the previous sentence, and that the forms of the word are irrelevant.
