Ah. See I am using an English book (not the best idea but it works) so I get my pronunciation details mostly from that. But putting in native concept is really helpful. Perhaps I should look into some of the more native materials? Does anyone know of any good German materials.

Interestingly, I think most of the materials, and the best materials, appear to be in English. It seems to me that most Germans look down on learning Dutch. I remember once that Fasulye said her parents called it a worthless language (or something to that effect). I would love to get a grammar that was German based and compared Dutch grammar with German grammar.

Yes that is the feeling that I got when looking through bookstores. That is why I am using English materials, but I would like just one good resource that is native.

You could always try a German grammar book aimed at Dutch native speakers, and then
"reverse engineer" the information explained in the book.
