Hi All,
I will be doing some volunteer work in Albania next year. I am trying to track down the tapes to the DLI Albanian Basic Course. I could only find 1 library with them (Lawrence U) and they are unwilling to lend them out. I called DLI and they phased out the course many years ago and don't have any remaining copies.
Does anyone out there know anyone with access to these tapes?? I would be willing to purchase or "rent " them from anyone that has them!!
Thanks!!
BL

I've got access to pdfs of Vols 1-10 and mp3 of vols 1-8 (that's 90 lessons) along with
some other related pdfs. I can download them and pass them on if you want. But it'll take
all weekend because I'm out it the sticks here in the UK!

I did a quick google search, and found a site with the pdfs for the DLI course and several others here: http://links4languages.googlepages.com/albanian
You would still need the audio from Fat-tony, though.

So far so good; there's about 30-35 mp3's each about 5 MB - I'd like to share them if
possible. Also there's a few more pdfs. I take it your not particularly military minded
but some sound quite interesting (Difference between Gheg and Tosk; Albanian-English
Dictionary; A Survey Of Albanian Language and Literature) which I'll download as well.

Thanks a million Fat-tony. Send me a pm if you want to send them to me directly or I know some people prefer to upload them as torrents and put them online for a few days or so. I'm heading out of town for a couple of days tomorrow so if I don't get right back to you that's why.

Fat-tony,
The guys at fsi-language-courses.org have been branching out into DLI as well. It might be worth donating a copy there so that anyone who wants it can grab it.

I was thinking that FSI-language-courses.org might be interested; there's plenty more
material I'd like to share too.
Seems my estimate was quite poor though, there're nearer to 70-80 mp3's, each about 5 MB.
