Dongbeihua（东北话－Northeastern Mandarin）： http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northeastern_Mandarin Putonghua（普通话－Standard Mandarin）： http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Putonghua Dongbeihua: a Mandarin dialect which is mainly spoken by Manchu (满族) people with some Manchurian accents and vocabularies. At least, I'm afraid that, I haven't yet found any books or websites that teach basic Mandarin only with pinyin system, but I'll tell you details as soon as I find them out. 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Hi again, ZJJ,
I'm just wondering if you have any recommendations for contemporary writing, particularly contemporary Chinese poetry from the Mainland. I have lots of resources for Classical poetry, but I don't know where to start with the modern stuff. I know that not a lot of people read poetry, so if you don't have any particular suggestions, don't worry about it. Level of difficulty probably will not be much of a problem unless your favorite books are all technical manuals! 1 person has voted this message useful |
