How would you rank your Korean ability and Japanese ability right now? Intermediate or
more advanced than that?

I see, the reason I asked was because along with Japanese, I'm going to start learning
Korean and Chinese. I wanted to know how you were juggling and comprehending both
languages. With Japanese its been a long struggle and only recently have I begun to turn
the tide in. Listening, grammar, and speaking are weak points that I have and when
learning other languages I hope to be able to learn from these mistakes.

You also have to take in the fact that I'm different from 99% of the members here. I hate learning languages. That's why most of this log is filled with entertainment talk.

You will have an easier time with Korean than Chinese. Korean and Japanese grammar are really similar, except that Korean has a future tense, and it's a bit more complicated than Japanese in general. Learning the vocab will be a lot easier too.

My speaking is bad because I live in one of the whitest states in America. My writing is bad, because I don't like writing. So for now, since I like the entertainment in both countries, passive understanding is my main goal for now, while developing active skills.

Damn, I can't wait until this month is over and half of the people drop out of the TAC. This was on page 4.

Anyway, hardly did anything since the vacation started. Getting near 50% of RTK being suspended. I need to finish RTK by the end of January (+ suspended cards.)

Yeah, I'm with you...I keep hitting the "100 row" cap on the active topics since there are more topics active than normal this time of year (most of them Team TAC threads).

BTW, I recently started watching 지붕뚫고 하이킥 (i.e. "High Kick Through The Roof") unsubbed. That's a very odd show, to say the least. Since I don't watch much Korean TV that isn't music or variety, though, I only really recognize two of the actors (유인나, which I know from 영웅호걸 of course, and Julien Kang, which I first recall seeing on one of the 추석 specials).

Keep watching it. I loved High Kick Through The Roof. I watched the majority of it in two weeks lol (it was summer vacation.)

I started Dream High (<3 Eunjung) and My Princess (<3 Kim Tae Hee) and for Japanese dramas, I'm waiting for Toda Erika's to start.

I definitely plan to keep watching. It's a pretty long series (126 episodes plus one "special" episode), but they are funny enough and short enough (25min), so it's easy to stay motivated to watch them (I'm currently just watching one episode per day then switching over to my normal backlog of shows).

Re: Dream High...Is working on a new show why 은정 has been MIA from so many of the stage performances lately (or when she is there, MIA from the awards ceremony at the end)? I've been wondering why she hasn't been showing up on stage much (including the specials, like the MBC Christmas special and SBS 가요 대전).
