Wow that's awesome! Thanks so much. How do I search for other languages on EPIC? I
tried searching for other languages too but the results don't seem to come up. I'm
particularly looking for Korean.

Does anyone have any leads on the DLI Pashto Basic course? (-not- the courses by Tegey)

From what I understand, it is a fairly recent (post-2001) course, it should be quite similar to their Dari course in
terms of layout and should also have coursebooks for three separate semesters.

It looks to me (might be wrong) that the DLI Russian materials have been added to since the last time I looked a few months ago. All the Phase III modules pdfs are there now, and there's lots of new stuff.

BTW, what's the copyright status on this stuff (just curious)?

Is the greek course missing some tapes?

There are tapes up to lesson 60, but the pdf's go up to lesson 100.

Has anyone completed this course?

I haven't completed the Greek course, but I'm working my way through it. I don't know if the recordings past 60 were never made or are just not available on the site. It would be nice to have them, but I'm more concerned about the missing audio for lesson 4 at this source.

Tape 2 Volume 1 Less 03-04 contains only lesson 3, and Tape 3 begins with lesson 5. Looking at the lengths of all the other tapes, they are in the 45 minute range, while this Tape 2 is only 18 minutes long. Looks like lesson 4 got cut off. Does anyone have it, or know of any alternate sources for it (The 4Shared link in the OP from 2009 no longer works for me).

I've also noticed that lesson 53 of the DLI Persian course has gotten clipped on the recordings so that the first 2/3 are missing. If anyone has that or knows where to get it and could share that information as well...

Many thanks!

Hi! Could you share, by any chance, the Georgian audiofile you mention? I've got the SF
200 hours Georgian PDF file, and it looks like it's a good course, so I'd be grateful
for the audio to it. I can't google it up anywhere.

ProfArguelles recently posted a YouTube video overview of DLI course resources - where you can get them, their pluses and minuses, what kind of students they are good for, etc.

Funny thing. The copyright isn't an issue--DLI material is actually "restricted material" in the government's view, so distribution of it violates rules other than copyright rules. From what I was told, DLI doesn't want the 'enemy' to know what the students are learning because they'd be able to determine US interests and the typical limits of students' language abilities. They are not even permitted to give a copy of the vocabulary taught in the class to schools that they have partnered with for language immersion programs.
