Taking a short break while I prepare to host a guest from out of town. My new goal is to get a total of 100 hours of Swedish in by the end of the month, counting the 44 that I've already achieved. That'll give me 16 days starting tomorrow, so I just have to get around 3.5 hours per day on average for the rest of the month. I think it's doable :)
Yesterday was for cleaning and doing all sorts of errands, so no language work. Today I finished reading the English version of Stieg Larsson's 1st book, and I think I'll probably start soon on doing some L-R with both audio and text in Swedish. I know how the story goes in several of my books now, and I'm eager to get back to my old practice of doing everything in the L2.
I'll be using a highlighter to pick out words that I don't know, and then go back later to look them up and add some of them to Anki. In other words, more of an AJATT style than a traditional L-R style. Emphasis will still be on lots of listening and reading, but there will be an element of intensive vocab work. I like having a mix of the two.
More info soon, after I get started on this Phase 2 :)
