"اِشتري" is not the imperative of "اشتَرى." The actual imperative of the aforementioned
word is "اشترِ" because you remove the vowel in this particular case.

So can I confirm that the ya ي drops in the 3rd person singular and plural?
he bought هو اشترى(huwa ishtara)
she bought هي اشترتْ(hiya ishtarat)
they bought هم اشتروا (humm ishtarau)
How do you pronounce ’انا اشتريت ana ish ta ra ee tu or ana ish ta rye tu?

ash ta rytu.. is fusha
ash ta reet... is dialect
ish tar is فعل الأمر
حذفت ياءه لأنه معتل الآخر
