Rofl! The Chinese reader is in traditional and HANDWRITTEN :D Not cursive, but still handwritten. But the real funny thing is this: The glossary doesn't list the characters, but the TELEGRAPHIC CODES of the characters! Now that's helpful! ;)

According to the Google Books FAQ, any books in full book view mode are out of copyright, and those are the only ones I picked.
They can all be downloaded in PDF format. For the Google Books links, look at the top right of the page for the link. "A Reader of the Italian Language" shows up in full view for me, complete with download links. However, other books you linked to, such as "Preparatory French reader" and "An Italian Reader of the Nineteenth Century" show up in snippet view, or not even that, despite being out of copyright, which is what I'm finding confusing.
