Has anyone studied Persian using the textbook by Donald L. Stilo, Kamran Talattof, and
Jerome W. Clinton ( ISBN 9780300100518)? What's your assessment?

Sorry again, but this is the only thread where my question can be posted. I don't know
why.

But is it worth your time? |

I do it just for the fun of it. It doesn't hurt and is less monotonous than an ordinary flashcard software. I use like 10-15 minutes a day and then do other stuff. You ask why not just the other stuff? Well I get bored pretty fast, I need to keep it "colourful". :-)

It's not useful for the serious language learner. But for someone who wants to feel good about him/herself, I guess it's ok.

Worst than Rosetta Stone is Pimsleur. Rosetta is like a very famous person which when open the mouth to say something, nothing good is been saying.
About Pimsleur, I don't know a single person who learnt a language talking from back to front. (Mississippi- ppi-ssi, ssippi, ssi-ssissipi, mi-mississippi) ridiculous!
Spend your money with good books, grammars and dictionaries, than you will learn any language.
