I just came across this paperback collection called "A Dual-Language Book" ( link here ). I am interested on the German ones, for example The Sorrows of Young Werther or Short Stories by Kafka.
Unfortunately, there is no preview of what the books looks like inside. Does anyone here have any experience with these books? Are they parallel texts line by line? side by side? How is the translation like?

HERE'S a collection of free German-English parallel texts prepared by our own MarcoDiAngelo.

I've read several dual-language books, including some from the publisher in your link, and they were extremely helpful. I got a few from Amazon.fr, texts of British and American authors with French translation, but the shipping was expensive.

Thanks dolly. I already know about this project (Which I think is great!), but I am not asking for the texts. I am asking about the quality of the paperbacks I linked to.

For me it is easier to read and carry around a bounded paperback rather than some printed pages. They are also nice as presents to fellow language learners :)

I have an old Spanish-English edition and I really enjoyed it. It is a collection of short unabridged works, arranged chronologically, with notes on unusual constructions, idioms, allusions and other things that are usually missed in translation. I picked it up used from a bargain bin somewhere. I don't know if their current editions are the same.
