Domande: Che cosa si usa per salire le scale? Per salire le scale si usa le gambe. <-- is that grammatically correct? Sounds weird to me... 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

I can see one mistake. It should be: si usano le gambe. You have to use the third person plural of the verb because gambe is plural. But I can't say whether it sounds natural since I am not a native speaker! Better for an Italian to chime in. Per salire le scale si usano le gambe <-- correct version But it doesn't sound natural; it's better to say: "Per salire le scale si va a piedi". P.S sorry for my poor English... 1 person has voted this message useful | |||

Come giustamente dice Nadir, la versione più naturale è "Per salire le scale si va a piedi". Grammaticalmente sono corrette (ma un po' goffe) sia: "Per salire le scale si usano le gambe" che "Si salgono le scale usando le gambe". 1 person has voted this message useful | |||
